Health Services 2022-2023

The Hoover Health Center provides a convenient, on-campus, youth-friendly place for students to receive health care services. As a school-based clinic we offer physical, mental and dental health services to students through collaboration with partner agencies. Students must have a pass to visit the Health Center during instructional periods. 

Physical Health Services

M-F, 8:00 am - 3:35 pm. (Closed daily from 11:45-12:30)

Additionally, we partner with La Maestra Community Clinic, a local Federally Qualified Health Clinic (FQHC) that operates 20 hours a week as a satellite La Maestra clinic. Clinic hours: M-F 8:00 am-11:45 am. Please come into the Health Center to make clinic appointments.

• Immunizations
• Health Assessments
• Sports Physicals
• Administration of Over the Counter Medications
• Vision and Hearing Screening
• Family Planning Services
• Referrals for Specialty Care 
• Acute care - Diagnosis and Treatment of Minor Illness and Injury
• IEP Assessments

Mental Health Services

M-F, 7:30 am - 3:00 pm. 

We partner with Mending Matters and Rady Children’s Outpatient Psychiatry to provide mental health services to students. 

We offer the following mental health services:

• Crisis Intervention
• Individual Counseling
• Support Groups
• Case Management
• Classroom Presentations
• Referrals to Community Services

• Dental Cleanings
• Fillings
• Extractions
• Crowns
• Dental Examinations and X-rays
• Referrals for Orthodontics
